Advice, tips for submitting information
The basics:
When sending information about your community, club, church, school,
business or family, please include this basic information:
- Who you are: the name of the club, church, school, student
organization, individual, etc.
- What event or activity is being held or what recognition was
received.
- When it is happening, including date and time.
- Where it is being held.
- Why it is important that the public know about the work you are doing.
Also include a contact name and phone number for verification purposes.
If the contact name and number should be published, indicate that as
well.
Helpful Hints:
- Make it short and sweet, not long and flowery.
- Releases should be typewritten when possible and double spaced. Use
uppercase and lowercase letters, not all capitals.
- Double-check spelling of names and include the first and last name
of everyone mentioned.
- If including a photograph, label the event and people on the back.
Make sure to identify everyone from left to right, row by row.
Whenever possible, limit the number of subjects in the photograph. Be
mindful that pictures wont be returned.
- Don't worry about form, that can be edited. It's more important to
make sure that you have included all of the necessary information.
